📑QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS ARE RECEIVED BEFORE RESOLUTION No. 1499 (BEFORE 01/18/2023) COMES INTO FORCE AND CAN BE EXCHANGED BOTH PERSONALLY AND THROUGH A REPRESENTATIVE.

The exchange of documents is carried out in accordance with paragraph No. 2 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of December 30, 2022 No. 1499 at the request of the seafarer at any time without conducting a professional competence test. Upon receipt of documents of a new type, the seafarer or his representative adds to the application the original documents to be exchanged.

📑QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS WERE RECEIVED AFTER THE DECISION No. 1499 (FROM 01/18/2023) COMING INTO FORCE BUT IN ANOTHER METHOD (through “agents”, “intermediaries”, “Sailor’s Electronic Account”, etc.).

If a seafarer received qualification documents after the entry into force of Decree No. 1499 in another way, then they need to obtain them in a legal way provided for by this Decree. To do this, the seafarer or his representative must apply to the Shipping Administration with an application and the appropriate package of documents for the assignment or confirmation of the rank/qualification.
