Thrilled to see 19 of our M/T Flagship Lotus strong crew getting their Johnson & Johnson shots at Port Everglades on August 13th. Special Thanks to the Master, the United States of America Authorities, the Central Health Care services and our local agents.
Our US-bound vessels are briefed and assessed on the vaccine’s eligibility, benefits, and possible symptoms. A vaccination card, showing the vaccine received and the date, is given after being vaccinated by the administering authority. To date, more than 80 of our colleagues on board numerous vessels had access to the vaccine through this effort and we anticipate more to be offered access in the immediate period ahead.
As we combat the aftermath of the #pandemic, it is our obligation to prioritise the #health and #wellbeing of our seafarers and the industry workers as a whole. #Seafarers had been on the front line of this pandemic, going through unparalleled challenges and enduring incredible sacrifices whilst constantly demonstrate unwavering resilience.
We are grateful to initiatives such as this and hope other countries will follow suit making sure all seafarers who wish to get the vaccine have the option to do so.
9 more of our colleagues on board M/T Starman were vaccinated with the one-dose Johnson & Johnson in New York. We are committed and focused to protect our colleagues on board the vessels as much as possible against the pandemic. Photo credits to vessel’s Master Captain Alexander Annenkov!
